Of the many
different types of prints available today, I have decided to produce
limited edition Giclee canvas prints. The Giclee printer uses
archival, highly fade-resistant, pigmented inks. Giclee canvas
prints have three distinct advantages:
prints, when framed, are stretched over wood stretcher bars just
like an oil painting. And, just like an oil painting, they are
framed without a mat or glass, thus saving money and eliminating the
need for the distracting reflective surface of glass.
texture of the canvas, along with the highly saturated and accurate
colors, creates a surface that imitates the original painting.
3. A glossy
coating, applied by the printer over the image, creates a protective surface that
looks remarkably like a varnished oil painting. The coating is
quite durable, and will protect the print from occasional light
offering each image in two different sizes: a “standard” size, and a
“grand” image size. The standard size works well just about
anywhere, it’s big enough to see the image well, but not too big
that it’s hard to place. The “Grand” size is about 50 to 75% bigger
and is great for large rooms, board rooms, or over a fireplace. The
“Grand” prints are very close to the size of the original, and they
really capture the grandeur of the original oil painting.
From just a few feet away, the quality of these prints is so good,
they will fool even the expert into thinking they are originals.
Each print is individually signed and numbered.
